When It Is Best Warm And Dry

The purpose of a radiator for towels in the bathroom is not just to give the comfort of a warm towel as you step out of the bath or shower but also it helps to keep the towel dry.

Most people choose stainless steel towel radiators because they are designed for this purpose and have any number of rails to hang the towels on. Being stainless steel they do not rust and need hardly any maintenance other than the occasional wipe.

On this site there are numerous choices of stainless steel radiators for towels. Obviously the number of people using the bathroom will have bearing on the right one for you.

For a couple sharing a bathroom there is a lovely pair of smaller rails that fit either side of the sink. Alternatively a couple might choose the long and low two bar radiator that is wide enough to allow two bath towels to hang from.

Yet again, a single or couple might prefer the kind of radiator that is more in the shape of a shelf attached to the wall. These are great space savers and can be installed above head height.

Larger family bathrooms will benefit from one of the many multi-railed radiators that stretch almost from floor to ceiling and with one of these it will almost certainly not be necessary for an additional bathroom radiator.

There is little in life more miserable than a freezing cold bathroom on a cold winter’s day when you have to get ready for work and it is still dark and raining outside!  Do not underestimate the amount of heat output you want in the bathroom and it may be you will want both a radiator connected to the house central heating system and also a stand-alone electric towel rail.

An unheated bathroom is also one that is far more likely to need regular redecorating as the elements of hot and cold, steam and water is bad for the décor.

Whatever the arrangement just remember that in the bathroom stainless steel or chrome is best.
